Mission Of ARRA
-
Conduct registration of eligible asylum seekers qualifying for international protection and assistance.

provide protection and assistance to refugees until durable solutions are found to their problems;
-
ensure that refugees obtain adequate assistance during their stay in Ethiopia including food, water, shelter, health care and basic education;
-
ensure the protection of refugees in accordance with existing National Refugee Legislation and international conventions;
-
assist implementing partners in mitigating the environmental degradation due to refuge impacts;
-
ensure that refugees living in Ethiopia abide by the law of the land;
-
ensure that refugees receive their basic education and income generating skills and help them become self sufficient;
-
promote public awareness on refugee protection issues among the host communities and local authorities in order to develop positive attitude towards refugees hosted in Ethiopia;
-
coordinate and monitor the proper implementation of various refugee protection and assistance programs undertaken by various implementing partners;
-
promote durable solutions through repatriation and resettlement;
-
represent the Government of Ethiopia by participating in all of the international and national meetings and conferences related to refugee issues and in all of the EXCOM Meetings;
-
provide authentic reports and refugee information to concerned authorities;
-
advice concerned government officials on refugee developments in Ethiopia;
-
keep the public well informed about refugee protection and assistance issues;
